Chevron flooring uses a printed V-shaped pattern on standard SPC or LVT planks, creating the visual impression of angled planks meeting at a point. Unlike real wood chevron, no plank is actually cut at an angle — the pattern is applied to the surface during production, so the floor is installed in the same way as any standard SPC or LVT floor. This approach gives the look of a classic chevron layout without the higher cost, longer installation time, and material waste that come with genuine angled planks. It also means the floor can be installed with a standard click-lock system, without special cutting, mitre work, or pattern alignment on site. The V-shape is already built into the plank surface. Available in SPC and LVT constructions, in a wide range of wood-look visuals. SPC chevron uses a rigid mineral core, which makes it suitable for commercial spaces and areas with temperature variation. LVT chevron uses a flexible vinyl core, which is softer underfoot and easier to cut around complex room shapes, making it a good fit for residential renovations. Both versions install with a click-lock system for a glue-free fit, and the planks are the same rectangular format used in standard SPC and LVT. Because there is no angled cutting involved, installation is faster and simpler than true chevron flooring — no special tools, no pattern-matching on site, and no wasted material from angled offcuts. The V-pattern works best in larger rooms and open-plan spaces, where the directional layout can be used to define different areas or draw the eye toward a focal point. It suits modern and traditional interiors alike, and is a common choice for hotel rooms, residential developments, retail spaces, and offices where the look of chevron is wanted without the cost and complexity of real angled planks.
